Today we arrived on site to complete annual home inspection and boiler start up. Customer stated that relief valve does leak when boiler is on. MyGuy plumbing will have a boiler specialist come and assess issue. For today MyGuy plumbing completed annual home inspection we left options on what we found that should be rectified. MyGuy plumbing will have boiler specialist come and assess boiler and drainage for home.
Arrived on call client stated their shower diverter wasn’t getting warm or hot enough again since we’ve replaced the cartridge in August 2025. Upon inspection shower diverter seems to be getting warm enough in the middle and hot enough when turned all the way to the left.
Annual Plumbing Inspection Completed Hardness 5 Ph 8.2 Chlorine 0ppm Pressure 71psi Annual plumbing inspection completed. Minor issues found through out the plumbing of the home, clients main concern was the existing water heaters age, and the washing machine valves were old. Other issues include shower trim replacement and linkage for tub waste doesn’t move. I provided options and client would like to replace water heater and valves for washing machine as well as eliminating corroded gate valves that serve kitchen sink. MyGuy performed all work agreed on, turned water back on to home, tested for leaks, and purged air from system. There are no leaks at this time and everything is functioning as it should. Customer went through financing for today’s service. *permits are at home owners expense *in process of replacing water heater we knocked over a box of light bulbs resulting in a few broken bulbs. Blew out hose bib to winterize. Brick Township, NJ 08724
Arrived to the home, customer states that last night they had taken a shower and water started to rain down from the ceiling. The location of the shower is approximately 15ft away from where they see the water. From where they see the water, right above it is a stackable washer and dryer combo. I have ran all fixtures to try and recreate the leak and unfortunately everything is dry and draining properly. Client had mentioned to me that prior to this. The shower was slowly draining, when I was running the shower, I can hear the water draining properly from where the washer and dryer are, indicating that there is no active clog at this time. My theory behind this is that they may have had a clog and it started to overflow through the indirect drain for the washer pan, but over time the clog had managed to pop itself loose. I advised to the client to monitor it, and go about their daily habits, and if I starts to leak again I will need to cut Sheetrock in the ceiling to trace back the pip
Arrived on site to further diagnose issue with basement bathroom. Upon arrival found that we had left the toilet off so when we come back to investigate further, it will be easier to camera the line so we would not have to charge a customer to pull the toilet again. Sent camera down line and found that the downstairs bathroom group piping in the slab is back pitched and is not draining properly, causing issues with backups in that bathroom. In addition to the back pitch pipes in the bathroom, also found that the tiling for the pan was not done properly. Told customer that we can remove tile and shower base and install fiberglass walls. That way she does not have to deal with the issue with the tile and shower is also going to need to be removed anyways for demo to re-pipe that bathroom room. to do re-pipe in bathroom we will need to remove shower base toilet vanity, demo de concrete and install all new piping. Then customer will need a mason to come back and redo all the concrete set t
Installed new Bradford white water heater
Arrived on site to complete customers boiler startup. My guy plumbing vacuumed out the boiler chamber and turn the unit on at this moment. There appears to be no issues with the boiler. Everything is working as should.
Repiped and replaced toilet flange, installed new tub waste and overflow
Complete rebuild Arrived back to home to replace flush valve for toilet. Replaced flush valve and dye tested for leaks, there are none at this time. Did not find any evidence of why toilet was running continuously after the rebuild. As of now toilet is holding its seal.
Provided options to install customer supplied RO system and replace section of sewer. Brick Township, NJ 08723
Customer stated that toilet was running after inspecting. We found that the flush valve is letting water through my guy plumbing sent over options for a new toilet and to rebuild the existing toilet. Customer will call back in the morning to decide which option they would like to move forward with.
Arrived on site to perform plumbing inspection. On the inspection I found 2 accordion style traps in the upstairs bathroom. Under one of the sinks some drain repairs will need to be made to make the drainage up to code. Also found that the gas flex and gas valve for the water heater in the garage are not up to code. Left options for client and they would like to talk it over with daughter.
Arrived on site clients downstairs bathroom was backing up out of the shower and the rest of the home was draining fine. Pulled toilet and immediately found thick sewage at the toilet flange. Snaked from the downstairs toilet and cleared customers downstairs bathroom and she is now able to use her downstairs bathroom. Put camera down the line and found what could be multiple breaks in the line. Told customer we will have senior tech out to give accurate estimate on a permanent fix.
